Nancy D. Illig, age 68, of West Branch, formerly of Lapeer, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. She was born on March 28, 1956, the daughter of Robert and Jenne (Bessette) Hart. On January 9, 1976, Nancy married the love of her life Michael Illig. Together, they shared a life filled with love and memories until he preceded her in death.
Nancy had a generous heart and loved taking care of others. She deeply loved her boys, and making sure they were well fed with whatever she would be cooking and baking.
Nancy is survived by her sons: Andrew Illig, Joel (Jessica) Illig, and Michael Illig Jr.; grandchildren: Taylor, Michael, and Samantha; sister: Pamela Hart (George Myers); sister-in-law: Karen (Gerald) Licquia; brother-in-law: Herman (Linda) Illig Sr.; sister-in-law: Boyd (Kathy) Bumgardner; sister-in-law: Sonya Illig; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Michael; parents: Robert and Jenne; brother: Michael Hart; and sister: Mary Beth Ray.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a service will be held at a later time. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com. |
