Barbara Louise McClara ( Dunsmore), age 74, of Goodrich, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at her home.
Barb was born on October 25, 1946 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan to the late Delbert N. and Christina R. (Gibson) Dunsmore. She married Gurdon McClara in 1968 and together they had one daughter, Christina Louise.
Barb worked for Sea Ray Boats in Oxford, Michigan for 18 years before opening her own business "Fantasyland Ceramics and Gifts" in downtown Goodrich. She owned Fantasyland for over 26 years and enjoyed teaching adult and children's ceramic classes before retiring in 2017. In her free time, Barb was a collector. She loved coins, stamps, hockey cards, varieties of plants and flowers, and Beanie Babies. She enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings on TV. However, her pride and joy was apparent in her grandchildren. Barb spent many hours discussing Beanie Babies and playing with Matchbox cars with them.
Barb is survived by her daughter Christina; son-in-law Robert; granddaughter SaraMarina and grandson Samuel Seung; brothers: Edward Dunsmore, Frederick (Mary) Dunsmore, Thomas Dunsmore, and James (Debbie) Dunsmore; sisters: Delberta (Gordon) Richie, Margaret Heal, and Audrey Eckle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Gurdon; her parents, Delbert and Christina; and sister, Carol Abel.
The family will greet friends from 11:00am until time of funeral at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
