Norman Herington, born October 4, 1940 in Birch Run Township, Michigan, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on September 21, 2023 in Lapeer, Michigan. Affectionately called “Stormin Norman” by his friends and family, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer who loved family gatherings and deep-frying turkeys in his garage every Thanksgiving. He was a frequent patron of the Lapeer Eagles Club and enjoyed spending time in the summers with wife, Vicki, camping in their RV in Grindstone, Michigan.
Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Vicki, son Darren (Amber), daughter Patricia Snyder (Paul), stepsons Scott (Krystal) and Jeffrey (Venessa) Dann, seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Logan, Cullen, Abigail, Kourtney, Dylan and Kayden, brother Dale (Geraldine) and sister Donna Michael (Fred). He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Naomi Herington, and eight siblings.
A Celebration of Norman’s Life will be held on Thursday, September 28, at 2 p.m. at the Lapeer Eagles Club, 3565 Davison Road.
