Enid Adelle Reed left behind her earthly body and is now rejoicing in Heaven.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Reverend Tim Mills officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am on Saturday until the time of the service.
Enid was born Jan. 31, 1931 in Muskegon, MI. She was a preacher’s kid and had stories to tell about that. Her parents Rev. August and Lettie Doehring, her brother Dr. Edwin Doehring and sister Elaine Neely were all waiting with open arms.
Those waiting here on earth to join are her husband, Robert K. Reed; children, Diane Reed Loew (Wendell), David Reed (Sunday), Rebecca Reed Szucs (Steve), Cathy Reed Waun (Lee) and Mark Reed (Laurie). She has one remaining sister, Eleanor Hildenbrand. Along with her five children she has fifteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A big “Thank You” to Shereen Skeen for her loving care and kindness to Enid the last few months. She is a huge blessing to the whole family.
She and her husband have lived their entire married life in the home he built 71 years ago in Burton, MI.
She loved having her home filled with her children and they could never visit often enough for her.
She will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
