MEYERS, Joann M. - Of Burton, age 87, died Monday, May 3, 2021
at McLaren-Flint.
Visitation 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 and funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at East Flint Church of the Nazarene, 3515 North Belsay Road, Flint, Gary Loudermilk and Michael Graham officiating.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Joann was born in Flint, Michigan on October 27, 1933, the daughter of the late Howard and Ann (Thering) Higley.
She belonged to PWP, Parents W/O Partners as a secretary. She attended EFN Church for 25 years; loved reading the word and loved serving the Lord.
She loved sewing for her family and also for the Clothes Bank.
Joann went on trips with the Burton Senior Center. She loved going up-north and thrift shopping.
Joann was employed by AC Spark Plug Division in 1956 as a job setter, retiring in 1988.
She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital as a mail person.
Surviving are children, Dawn and Bill Dean of Swartz Creek,
Debbie and Vern Coop Jr. of Burton, Scott and (Lisa Bradshaw)Meyers,
Keith and Kelly Meyers, all of Flint;
11 grandkids and 13 great-grandkids.
