LUNDY, James Robert – of Davison, MI, age 69, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service, conducted under the auspices of the Davison Independent Order of Oddfellows Vernor Lodge #400, will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423, followed by a Celebration of Jim’s Life officiated by Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-2 PM Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County 4-H Program or a charity of one’s choice, in Jim’s memory.
Jim was born in Flint, MI on March 7, 1952, son of the late William and Elizabeth (Davey) Lundy. He was the middle child of 7, growing up on a dairy farm in Davison, MI where his hard work ethic was developed. Jim loved to farm and especially loved old red tractors. He was a member of the Davison Independent Order of Oddfellows Vernor Lodge #400. Jim retired from MTA, where he was a bus driver, in 2020 after 43 years of service. One of Jim’s greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved and adored.
Jim is survived by 4 children, Eric (Charlene) Lundy, Jeff (Shani Weeden) Lundy, Jamie (Joe) Huffman and Nicholas (Erin) Lundy; 3 grandchildren, Rylan Lundy, Liam Lundy and Victoria Preston; 6 siblings, Herb, Bill, Carolyn, Dolores, Cathy and Larry; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Lundy.
James was a kind and loving soul and never met anyone who didn’t like him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
