CHAPPLE, Joseph Allen – Of Flint, age 90, died Monday, January 10, 2022 at his residence.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Joseph was born in San Gabriel, California on September 6, 1931, the son of the late Ethel (Brown) and Joe Chapple.
In 1963 he married Dawn Ann Martin in Flint.
He graduated from Northern High School.
He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years.
Joseph had a BS in Chemistry from U of M.
He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, AuGres Walleye Club and loved fishing and golfing.
Mr. Chapple was employed by General Motors V-8 Engine Metal Fab, retiring in 1988 and never looked back.
Surviving are son, Douglas M. Chapple and brother, James Chapple.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Ann Chapple in 1999 and son, Dale Allen Brown Chapple in 2020.
