Our beloved Rita Elizabeth Frasik, age 69, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family at home on Tuesday April 22, 2025. Private graveside services were held at 1:00 pm Thursday April 24, at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, with Chaplin Dennis Saulino officiating.
Rita was born in Flint Michigan on September 8, 1955 the daughter of the late Raymond and Violet (Kulish) Frasik and had resided in the Burton area most of her life. Rita graduated from Mr. David’s School of Cosmetology and was a licensed cosmetologist for many years. Rita also was employed by Briarwood Convalescent Center for over twenty-seven years as a CNA, and took great pride in the care she provided for all the residents. Rita had an extraordinary way to make the people around her feel special and loved, she found great joy in spending time with her nephews and nieces making them feel special from making over the top Easter baskets or something as simple like watching the Wizard of OZ. Rita had a passion for cooking and enjoyed making special meals for family, friends and co-workers. Rita was treasured and a gift to all that crossed her path. Now she is reunited with her sweet furbaby Ms. Cally.
She leaves to cherish her memory sisters: Caroline Frasik, Mary Frasik, Barbara Pruett, and brothers: Larry and wife Sue Frasik, and Gary Frasik. She also leaves nieces: Jamie and husband Jason Owens, Julia Castro. Megan Freeman, Krysten Pruett, and nephews: Daniel Frasik, Michael Havermale, and Matthew Pruett. She is preceded in death by father Raymond Stanley Frasik in 1986, mother Violet Jean Frasik in 2007, brother Michael Frasik in 2013, and brother-in-law Ronald Weaver in 2019.
