Chester was a Christian and served his Savior as a member of North Flushing Baptist Church where he was a trustee. He was a Lifetime member of the NRA, and enjoyed competing in Masters track and field. Chester loved deer hunting, trout and walleye fishing. His grandchildren have many fond memories of spending time with Chet in the outdoors on his wooded property. Chet and Linda enjoyed many happy years together boating on the Great Lakes in their Bayliner boat. In his younger years he was a state champion hurdler for Goodrich. In his spare time, he volunteered to help coach the Montrose Track Team hurdlers. Chester enjoyed making beautiful leaded glass projects, telling bad dad jokes, and spending time with his family. Above all he was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and friend who will be missed by many.
