Rodney J. Rinehart age 79 of Durand, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Argentine Care Center. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Rodney James Rinehart was born June 1, 1942 in Muskegon, a son of James and Rowena (Parker) Rinehart. On December 20, 1963 he married June Hutchinson. Rodney enjoyed wood carving, fishing with his granddaughter, playing cards, traveling, collecting hats, tools and belt buckles. He also entertained as a clown for a while. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he had been employed by General Motors for 30 years.
Rodney is survived by his wife June Rinehart; children, David (Nicole) Rinehart and Rita Beltnick; grandchildren, Paige, Nalani and Davieon; brother, Ken (Sheila) Rinehart; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rowena Rinehart.
