Ivan was born February 18, 1951 in Alpena, to the late Albert and Joy (Hibner) Wilson. He grew up and attended Montrose Community Schools. Ivan proudly served in the United States Army as an infantry man during the Vietnam War and retired from Buick after 30 years of employment. Eight years ago, after being very persistent, he met his second love Laural Pazz, who quickly became Ivan’s rock. Ivan and Laural got their fur baby Rocky (aka brat), their beloved German Shepard who could do no wrong in his eyes. Ivan enjoyed going for rides on his Harley Davidson and playing bones as he called it (dominos) with his bone heads (family and friends). Ivan loved spending time with his family and friends and making others laugh with his fiery yet stubborn personality. Nobody would ever question what Ivan was thinking, he was sure to tell you his thoughts whether or not you wanted to know them, and don’t even think about changing his mind. Ivan will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Ivan is forever loved by his loving partner, Laural Pazz; ex-wife and mother of his children, Betty Wilson. Daughters: Devita Wilson, Janel Sadowski, and furbaby Rocky; Grandchildren; Darrius (Haley Miller) Ortiz, Makenna Sadowski, Myah Sadowski and Brody Beecher; great grandchildren: Coltyn Ortiz and Baby Ortiz, due in July; Brother; Terry (Monna) Wilson of Arkansas and his cousin who was like a brother to him, Larry (Karla) Wilson. Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and great friends. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother and riding partner Al Wilson and nephews and nieces. |
