Ronald Arlen Hoisington, 75, died on May 4, 2025 peacefully surrounded by his family at home. He was born April 5, 1950, in Durand, MI. The son of Richard Hoisington and Mary Hoisington (Sells).
Ron graduated from Durand High School in 1969. He married Sally Hoisington (Elford) in 1969. He retired from General Motors in 2002. Ron was an original member of the Iron Wheels Motorcycle Club of Owosso, MI. Ron was an amazing wood widdler, a brilliant artist in sketching, and a huge history buff. He enjoyed putting together model airplanes and cars. He spent years enjoying re-enacting the Civil War with his family. He spent most of his summers riding his motorcycle and his hot rod.
Ron had the most generous heart there was. He had an explicit sense of humor and could always make you smile and laugh. He was a role model to many people. He was very intelligent and a man of many talents. He worked hard his whole life and was overall the most amazing man there was.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Richard Hoisington and Mary Hoisington (Sells) , his brother, Scott Hoisington, and his wife Sally Hoisington (Elford).
Ron is survived by his two children, Chad Wilson Hoisington and Ronda Lee Ashley (Hoisington). His six grandchildren, Taylor Leon Linker (Hoisington), Nathan Scott Burman, Jordan Lee Hoisington, Alicia Marie Grabowski (Burman), Dalton Ryan Burman, and Ronald Arlen Hoisington. His four great-grandchildren, Isabella Rose Linker, Isaiah Alexander Linker, Dane Wilson Linker, Baylee May Grabowski, and another baby Grabowski on the way.
There will be a private service held at a later date.
