GARRISON, Daniel Scott – of Flint, MI, age 47, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Marybelle Haynes officiating. Interment in Neebish Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 and 11 AM-1 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neebish Improvement Fund, in Dan’s memory.
Dan was born in Flint, MI on November 8, 1970, son of Robert (Carol) Garrison and Constance (Charles) (Barr) Lockwood. He married Gail Leonard on September 27, 1997 in Grand Blanc, MI. Dan was the owner and founder of J.A.G. Building and Renovation, based on Neebish Island, MI and in Flint, MI. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.
Dan is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gail; 2 children, Amanda (Andrew) Gellings and Jacob Garrison; 2 grandchildren, Piper Garrison and Jaxon Gellings; granddaughter on-the-way, Emery Gellings; brother, Bryce (Sandy) Garrison; sister, Shelley (Luke) Reece; many nieces, nephews and good friends, especially, Jason VanKuren. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Kenneth (Cleo) Barr and Ernie (Betty) Garrison.
