SPALY, Marcia De (Lintz) - Of Flint, age 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.
Marcia De was a dedicated wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the happiest when surrounded by her family and dog, Dolly. She will be remembered for her kind, loving and patient demeanor and always trying to make everyone else happy. She was also fun, spunky and energetic, involved in many social activities. She was involved with Red Hatters, Shriner El Said, First Presbyterian Bible study, Flint Optimistic Club, ceramic classes and Hurley Fitness at 90 years old!
Marcia was born in Flint, Michigan on June 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Rubin and Pearl (Dye) Lintz. She graduated from Flint Central High School. She married Robert (Bob) Spaly and they were married for over 60 years until his passing in 2014. Her greatest joy was raising her boys. She later retired from Consumers Power.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Robert (Lynn) Spaly and Cary (Connie) Spaly; four grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) of Breckenridge, CO, Jason Spaly of Vail, CO, Jonathan Spaly of Flushing, MI and Jordyn (Cody) of Flushing, MI; great-grandchildren, Ava and Axel and niece, Debbie (Brad) Anderson of Cape Cod, MA.
Visitation 12pm Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
The Rev. Dr. Joseph Novak officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
