CARTER, Charlotte Elizabeth (Mathers) – of Michigan, age 83, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 5 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 12-5 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Charlotte’s memory.
Charlotte was born in Flint, MI on May 25, 1935, daughter of the late Lewis C. and Irene M. (Kilboune) Mathers. She married William S. Carter on January 6, 1951 in Iuka, Mississippi. Charlotte loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 67 years, William; 5 children, William C. (Debbie) Carter, Bob L. Carter, Joan M. Buterakos, Elizabeth A. D’Arcangelis and Linda S. (Paul) McCrandall ; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Jane P. Briggs and 6 siblings.
