Casadonte, Mona Marie - age 93, of Flint sadly passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint. Father Matthew Bonk, Celebrant. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, January 4 at the church. Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.
Mona was born March 15, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Ralph and Armella Fisher. Mona volunteered for over 40 years for the American Red Cross at McLaren General Hospital. She enjoyed tennis, golf, and bridge. Mona and Jim nightly played word games together and recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on June 30. He always said she was the "love of his life."
She is survived by her loving husband, James Casadonte; children, Kent (Catherine) Casadonte, Debbie Casadonte, Karen Gall, Jill (Larry) Allingham, David (Rhonda) Casadonte; sister, Kay (Michael) Sweeney; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Wagner; granddaughter, Rachel Pilara and a great-grandson, Jose Guerra.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Swank Assisted Living Center staff for their wonderful care and to Gentiva Hospice.
