Martha Walton Holihan, 89, of Clio, MI, passed away on October 28th, 2022. She joins her beloved husband of 52 years Dick Holihan who preceded her in death earlier this month. Per Marty's wishes, no services will be held. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Martha (Marty) was born on May 6th,1933 to Eugene Walton and Zelma Hankins Walton in Itawamba County, Mississippi. She was the 7th of 8 children. Her siblings Theron Walton, Fannie Lee Walton Lackey, Glen Walton, Otha Walton, Dale Walton, Margaret Walton McCollum, and Gartha Walton Creekmore preceded her in death.
A cosmetician by trade she operated her own business until retirement. She had a love for making beautiful baskets and created a treasure trove of basket items for her loved ones. Her love of nature was evident in all that she created.
Marty is survived by her 5 step children and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved following on social media and always told us how much she loved us and we were all her brats. We look forward to seeing her again when God calls us home. |
