Dolores M. Smith, age 95, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late George Smith; adored mother of Carol (Peter) Zahordny, the late Diane Jarrett, Richard Smith, G. Brian (Nancy) Smith, and Sally Smith; proud grandmother of six and great-grandmother of one; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, William and Erma Brown; brother Gerald Brown; and sister Beverly Eagan.
Dolores was an active member of First Congregational Church in Grand Blanc for many years, acting as deacon, secretary, trustee, and part of Women's Fellowship. She spent much of her time holding office for the American Legion Auxiliary Post 413, seated on the Great Lakes National Cemetery Board as an alternative member, a Den Mother for Cub Scouts Pack 235, and countless other organizations.
The family will greet friends from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Rd., Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be held at Noon on Thursday, August 5 at the above location. Visitation from 11:00am until time of service. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a future date.
