BROWN, Richard Douglas -- Age 71, of Flint, died February 24, 2021. Public visitation will be 10AM - 12 Noon Wednesday March 3 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Private Funeral services will be held. (a livestream of the service may be viewed at Richard's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com at 1 PM Wednesday March 3.) Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Richard was born April 21, 1949 in Flint the son of Bennie and Betty (Perry) Brown. He was a graduate of Flint Southwestern in 1967. He retired from GM and was a member of UAW 599. He and his wife Mildred were very involved in horse racing. They enjoyed several trips to Las Vegas. He was a huge Michigan Football fan, and loved Hockey and the Flint Generals. He enjoyed all animals, always having pets in their home.
He is survived by his 3 step-children, John Bowen, Jeff Bowen, Judy Bowen; 7 step-grandchildren, Nicole Wyse, JD Bowen, Samantha Bowen, Tiffany Smith, Jeffery Bowen, Alic Bowen, Chance Bowen; step great-grandchildren, Karibiasky Bowen, Korra Thebaud, Sophia Wyse, Kylie Bowen, Jeffery Bowen III, Ella Bowen, Kendric Bowen, Khloe Bowen, Airianna Smith, Roger Smith Jr. Johnny Bowen Jr., and Nicholas Bowen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Mildred Brown on May 1, 2017. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
