RAWSON, John F. – of Davison, age 76, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys of Flint.
John was born in Saginaw, MI on August 3, 1944, son of the late John W. and Crystal (Swinehart) Rawson. John graduated from Farwell High School in 1962 and then he proudly served his country in the US Army from 1962-1965 and was stationed at Selfridge Air Force Base. John married Ethel Rashotte on April 24, 1965. He retired from Buick on January 1, 2004 after 32 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. John was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Past President of the Flint Banjo Club, and enjoyed square and round dancing with the Lapeer Square Stompers. He also enjoyed woodworking and camping.
John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ethel; daughters, Kimberly (Eugene) Munsell and Krista K. Rawson; siblings, Evelyn and Louie. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Andrew Munsell; siblings, Ann and James.
