Taylor, Ronald Lee of Flushing, age 84, died Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Lavigne Home for Compassionate Care. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Lenz will officiate. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, Michigan Athletic Association, St. Robert Catholic School, or the American Kidney Foundation.
Ronald was born in Port Huron on March 22, 1940, the son of Charles William and Clover Marie (Miller) Taylor. Despite graduating from Michigan State University with his bachelors’ degree and later receiving his master’s degree from Western Michigan University, Ronald was an avid University of Michigan Wolverine fan. He was an Educator for public schools for over 27 years, with the majority of his time at Davison Public Schools.
He married Agnes Henige on June 17, 1995, at St. Robert Catholic Church, where he was a faithful member for many years. Ronald loved watching sports, especially anything U of M football or baseball. He attended football games at the Big House for 59 consecutive years. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he was very proud of.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Agnes; daughter, Karen Taylor; son, Matthew Taylor; step-daughter, Theresa (Henige) and husband Michael Robinson; grandchildren, Halie, Regan, and Griffin Robinson; brothers, Donald and Richard Taylor; special aunt, Irma Parrow; special uncle “Buck” Miller; and dear friends, Bruce Dangremond, Jim Wallington, Mike Lighthiser. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arland Taylor; sister, Janet Stone; and dear friend Larry Daly.
