Tremain, Shirley Ann of Flushing, age 91, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at Serenity Assisted Living. Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church.
Shirley was born in Lake City, Michigan on January 17, 1932, the daughter of George and Margaret Older (O’Connor). She worked for many years at Great Giant Supermarket. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Robert Catholic Church since moving to the Flushing area over 20 years ago. Shirley enjoyed going to rummage and estate sales and was a great bargain shopper, always looking for a deal. She was giving and generous to everyone she knew. Shirley adored her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Zeno and wife Teresa Tremain, Michael and wife Mary Tremain, Dawn Wildman, Joseph Tremain, Dominic and wife Cathy Tremain; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Tynes, Marlene and husband Dick Caplis. Shirley was preceded in death by her son John Tremain, grandson Cade Tremain and brothers, Richard O'Connor and Bernard Older. |
