Stantiford, Deeanna “Kay” (Goza) – of Fenton, formerly of Flint, age 73, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Ascension Genesys in Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Saturday, January, 13, 2024, from 2-8 PM. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
Kay was born May 7, 1950, in Malden, Missouri, to the late D.D. and Lola (Hudgens) Reed. She had resided in the Flint area most of her life. Kay graduated from Flint Southwestern High School. She married Donald Goza on January 22, 1968. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2005. She married Eric Stantiford on August 30, 2010. Kay was employed at Meijer as a security officer for 32 years, retiring in 2010. She attended New Haven Baptist Church. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She also enjoyed shopping, dining out, Bingo, casinos, water aerobics, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband, Eric; Daughter, Tracey (Gary) Smith; Grandchildren: Taylor (Alex), Josh (Aliyah), Kyle, Jordan, Tristan, Matt, Dylan, Kodie, and Korie. Sister, Wilma (Roger) Brown; She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert, brother, Paul, and sisters, Sue and Peggy.
