Frederick Thomas Walker, of Flushing, Michigan, age 77, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home. Private funeral service to take place. A live stream of the funeral will be on the Rossell Funeral Home Facebook page at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officiate. In person visitation hours will be 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Rossell Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Carriage Town Ministries.
Tom was born in Flint, Michigan on June 13, 1943 to Frederick and Margaret (Fejes) Walker. He married Ramona Bailey on December 1, 1974. Tom retired from his career at Kurtz Gravel but kept busy with his many interests, talents, and hobbies. Tom absolutely loved life. He played and sang in a band on the weekends and some of his favorite places to be was at the casino or out shooting pool. He had a green thumb as he tended to his trees and grew acres of garden vegetables with the help of his family. He valued his quality time with his beloved puppy, Bear, and target shooting with his cousin, Johnny. Tom was a homebody and he loved his tractor, but most of all he loved his family.
Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ramona “Monie”; children, Stacey (Scott) Reel, Paul Bailey, Christian Thomas Walker (Shelly Jesso), David Bailey, Tommy (JoAnne) Walker, and Jason Walker; grandchildren, Logan Bailey, Sydney Reel, Levi Walker, Seth Reel, and Allyson Bailey; great-granddaughter, Ava Bailey; siblings, Lorraine Sewell and William (Diana) Walker; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his children, Tearsa Michelle Walker and Frank Bailey; brother, Nicholas Walker; brother-in-law, Harley Sewell; and many cousins. |
