Genevieve Mary(Baker) Wojcik, 92, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, entered
eternal rest on June 9, 2022.
She was born in Port Huron, Michigan on August 24, 1929. Genevieve
graduated from Port Huron High School and later attended Port Huron
Junior College. She was married to Eugene Joseph Wojcik on August
25, 1956.
She is survived by her husband Eugene Wojcik, her children and their
spouses, Michael Wojcik; Jennifer Wojcik; Christopher Wojcik and wife
Roberta; Amy Gartrell and husband John; Julia Luscher and husband
Bennett; her grandchildren and their spouses, Justin Wojcik and wife
Ashley; Colby Miller; Avery Spellman and husband Josh; Chloe
Prusakiewicz and husband Greg; Baylee Withers; Klasey Wojcik;
Madeline Withers; John Gartrell; Heather Maasch and Tommie Maasch;
great-grandchildren, Ari Dixon; Cooper Prusakiewicz; Salem Spellman;
Elle Prusakiewicz; Ozlo Spellman; Reid Kinaya; Gunnar Belchick; Ashlyn
D’Arcy and Christian Colton. Special thanks to dear friend, Linda
McGinnis for the unconditional love and support she showed Genevieve.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on June 24th at 10:00 am at Holy
Family Catholic Church in Grand Blanc. For those unable to attend the
mass will be live-streamed on YouTube.
She is preceded by her father Julius Baker; mother Violet Hamilton;
brother Joseph Baker and sister Marsha Hamilton.
Genevieve, fondly known as Beema to her grandchildren and
greatgrandchildren as well as many others, chose to stay at home
and raise her five children. She was actively involved in their
schooling and extracurricular activities and was a devoted member
of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, golfing,
sewing and especially loved spending time with her family. Her quick
wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed, although as even she
would readily admit, her cooking will not. |
