LaValley, Robert "Bob" Earl, 80, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423, burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Doctors Without Borders.
Bob was born on December 15, 1941, in Goodrich, MI, to the late Robert Cecil and Patricia Pearl (Fenner) LaValley. Bob grew up in Davison attending the public schools. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving from 1961-65, earning the rank of Airman First Class. During his service, he graduated from Plattsmouth High School in Plattsmouth, NE. Bob worked at the Buick Motor Division of GM in Flint for 30 years and was a member of UAW Local 599. Bob married Jennie Maria Salinas, whom he met while they both were serving in the Air Force, on October 12, 1963. Bob is survived by his wife; son, Robert Cecil LaValley II (Amy); grandsons, Maxwell Robert and Jacob Alexander; daughter, Aurelia Felina LaValley; granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Marsden; brother, Tony William LaValley (Nellie-Ann); sisters, Debra Lynn Gulick and Brenda Sue Wilson (Robert). Bob was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Chanelle Troye Marsden; and, brother, Gary Lee LaValley.
