SCRIPTER, Mitchell J. – of Mt. Morris, age 34, died Thursday, August 11, 2022, after a long battle with lung complications. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Monday, August 15, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Kim Christensen officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Mitchell was born July 19, 1988, in Flint, Michigan to Theodore and Muriel (Scripter) Illes. He attended Mt. Morris schools. Mitchell was a satellite installer and worked with several different companies over the years including – Exceed, Hughes, and Dish Network. He attended Eagle’s Nest Church in Mt. Morris. Mitchell loved gaming, building computers, power lifting, boxing, wrestling, cage fighting, and MMA. He was a talented artist and crafty with modeling clay. Mitchell enjoyed animals, and spending time outdoors – especially riding dirt bikes. He was a very outgoing social butterfly with a heart of gold. Mitchell was always there to help anyone in need.
Surviving are: Parents, Muriel and Ted Illes; Siblings: Michael Illes, Jeremy (Jamie) Illes, Laurilee (Nick) Berry, Aaron Illes, Tommy Illes, Anthony Scripter, and Mark Illes; Best friend, David DeBois; Grandmother, Helen Scripter; Nieces and nephews: Jasmyn Mosley, Jasper Illes, Aaron Illes, Cody Illes, Brandon Caldwell, Jared Caldwell, Mikaila Caldwell, Caleb Illes, Audrey Berry, Ethan Illes, and Coraline Illes; Special friends: Cheston, Patrick, Tanner, John, Chester, Cameron, and Justin; Special loved one, Journey - and her two children: Lavette, and Carter; Fluffy cat companion, Mac; Many aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. Mitchell was preceded in death by: Brother, Raymondo Mosley; Cousin, Yolanda Meza; Uncles: Lawrence Scripter, and Phil Battice; Aunts: Mary Meza, and Gail Melendez.
