Joyce Maureen Daly (Cuthbert), age 68, of Flint, Michigan passed away on February 28, 2024 of a brain aneurysm. Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00PM with a visitation beginning at 11:00AM.
Joyce was born May 31, 1955, in Flint, Michigan to her late parents George and Josephine Cuthbert. She grew up in a home full of joy with eight rambunctious siblings. She attended Flint schools and graduated from Central High School with honors. She was employed and retired from General Motors where she performed many different jobs throughout the years.
Joyce was happiest when heading north with little kids, big kids, family and friends and of course the dog, She loved to share her wooded property for a week of camping, hunting, fresh air and tons of fun and food. She loved nature, being outdoors, camping, bonfires, cooking for everyone over an open fire, gardening and planting flowers. She wanted everyone to have a good time, the more the merrier.
Throughout the years, Joyce enjoyed volunteering for numerous different projects. She would often stop along the way to clean up litter, plant flowers or give a helping hand.
Joyce loved all animals, especially dogs and had several special ones throughout the years. The latest dog was named Bandit. She loved to dress them up and would keep us laughing by telling stories of some of their shenanigans. They found her to be quite special too.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memory several grandchildren; sisters Bonnie (Bob) Thornton and Kay (Dan) Walker; sister-in-law Jeannie O'Boyle; Aunt Joanne Smith; stepsons Larry, Paul, and Matt Daly; special friends Brooke and Gus; and many more family and friends. Each and everyone had a special place in Joyce's heart. She was loved by all who met her and touched their life in some special way.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents George and Josephine Cuthbert; sister Shirley; five brothers Bobby, Rick, Jed, George (Hugh) and David; Nephews Chuck and Jeffrey; grandson Joshua and many other loved ones.
Joyce, We love you. We miss you. May you rest in peace.
