NICHOLS, Nancy Lou (Jacobs) – of Swartz Creek, MI, age 82, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 7 PM Friday, May 12, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 12-7 PM Friday, May 12, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, in Nancy’s memory.
Nancy was born in Flint, MI on December 24, 1940, daughter of the late Theodore and Vera (Bruce) Jacobs. She was a graduate of Goodrich High School in Goodrich, MI, Class of 1958. Nancy married Gailen Nichols on June 13, 1959, at First Presbyterian Church in Flint, MI. She played handbells at First Presbyterian Church in Flint, MI and Goodrich United Methodist Church in Goodrich, MI. Nancy was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served on several committees. For several years she baked and decorated cakes for many special occasions.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Gailen Nichols; 3 children, Lorene (James) Lorenzen, Crystal Garrido and Dale Nichols; 6 grandchildren, Gabriela, Jessica, Danielle, Travis, Ciara and Fritzi; 5 great-grandchildren and baby on the way; 2 siblings, Margaret (Charles) Hobson and Clarence (Joyce) Jacobs; brother-in-law, Dave Good; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Vera Jacobs; 4 siblings, Ted (Elma) Jacobs, Lucille Bohms, Paul (Ruth) Jacobs and Pam Good.
