DAVENPORT, Eileen Marie – Of Flint, age 80, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at The Pines of Burton.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Donald Dennis officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Higher Praise Church Fund.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Eileen was born in Flint, Michigan on November 1, 1941, the daughter of the late Leo and Reva (Bartholomew) Chase.
She graduated from Bendle High School Class of 1959.
Eileen married Walter Davenport on January 24, 1987.
She was a member of Higher Praise Church.
Eileen loved to sing, especially with the Thurlow Spur Concert Choir; camping, swimming, hiking, playing the bongos and spending time with her family.
Surviving are children, Tammy Hampton, Laura Fazenbaker, James (Melody) Davenport, Penny Smith and Jeff Davenport;
grandchildren, Matthew (Corinna) Baker, Melissa (Paul) Weeks, Leisha Montrosse, Eric Hampton and Johnathon Smith, Cassie (Dakota) Payne, Michael, Savannah, Sierra, and Seth Davenport;
7 great grandchildren;
many beloved nieces, nephews and special friends, Janet (Bill) Russell.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Walter on February 25, 2019; sons-in-law, Brian Hampton and John Fazenbaker, son, John Davenport, daughter-in-law, Jodi Davenport and sister, Irene Gocha.
