Nancy Ann (Behm) O'Leary, age 75, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at McLaren Emergency Hospital in Fenton because of heart failure.
Nancy was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on March 15, 1950, to Walter and Patricia (Walker) Behm. She was the second of four children: older brother Thomas, younger sister, Bonnie and little brother, Gary. She grew up in Mt. Morris and graduated from MMHS, class of 1968.
After high school she attended Central Michigan University for one year before marrying Patrick Barcelli. Pat was in the Army and was stationed in Germany where Nancy moved for the next few years. Once returning to the States, she was employed by Michigan National Bank before hiring in at General Motors. She continued her education at The University of Michigan -Flint - earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Management. She held several positions at GM and retired in 2007 as Supervisor, Salaried Personnel at the Metal Fabricating Center on Bristol Road.
She married Terry O'Leary in 1987, and they lived on Lake Lapeer, Metamora, Michigan for the next 38 years. Terry passed away very recently; June 2025.
Nancy was full of life and enjoyed a wide range of activities and people. She had a feisty disposition and loved golf and gardening. Her favorite pastime was talking with everyone.
She is survived by step-daughter, Sarah Lockwood (Mike) of Grand Rapids, sister, Bonnie Riutta (Tom) of Brighton, brother, Gary Behm (Jeanne) of Geneseo, New York, Brother -in -law Tim O'Leary of St. Louis, Missouri, Brother-in-law Paul O'Leary (Lisa) of Flushing, Sister-in-law Erin Masters (Jeff) of Cheboygan.
Nephews: Steven Yager of East Jordon, Byron Behm (Michelle) of Rochester, New York, Cory Behm (Ann) of Japan, Derrick Behm (Josh} of Woodland Hills, California, Alex (Tara) Masters of Lancaster, Ohio, Spencer Masters of Cheboygan, Ian O'Leary (Maddi) of St. Louis, Missouri
Nieces: Alexis Green (Dan) of Mt. Pleasant, Madeline O'Leary (Alex) of Lisbon, Portugal.
She also leaves behind many close friends and neighbors. She is predeceased by Husband, Terry, her parents. Walter and Patricia Behm, brother Tom and sister-in-law, Connie.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home on Hill Road in Flint, Michigan. Visitation from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. Luncheon to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to the Michigan Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
