HANDLEY, Linda L.
Heaven welcomed the most beautiful angel home on November 22, 2021. Linda L. Handley, 74, died peacefully at McLaren Flint surrounded by her husband, daughters, and grandsons.
Linda was born in Flint, MI on December 20, 1946 to Chalmers and Nora Faith and was the only daughter of 6 children. Linda married Bruce Handley on May 14, 1966 and they just celebrated 55 years of marriage. Linda worked her entire career as a Licensed Practical Nurse; primarily for St. Joseph Hospital and for Jack R. Price, MD.
They have 2 daughters, Teresa (Gregory) White and Jill (David) Reeder. Linda absolutely loved and enjoyed adventures with her grandchildren: Tyler, Christian, Cody, Zachary, Owen, Austin, and Abigail. Linda is also survived by her brother, Ray (Teresa) Faith.
Linda was known for her wanderlust and love of travel, she and Bruce took many amazing trips together and they lived their lives to the fullest. For the past 12 years, Linda and Bruce spent their winters in Briny Breezes, Florida where Linda enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets, reading, and the serenity of the ocean, shuffleboard, and enjoying time with her girlfriends. She was also well known for her love of Mother Earth, gardening, her pets, her monthly luncheons with the Juliettes and with her dear cousins Kathy, Sandy, and Dian. Linda was a friend to everyone who met her and she was known for her kind and gentle spirit.
Linda was welcomed home by her parents, Chalmers and Nora, her brothers Jac, Gene, Frank, and C.C., her grandson Todd, and her fur babies. She will be desperately loved and missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, November 27, 2021 at New Life Wesleyan Church, 5116 Linden Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.

Visitation 3-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 12 noon Saturday at church until the time of the service.
