VEENHUIS, Carolyn Marie- Age 83 of Cheboygan, formerly of Flushing, passed away December 9, 2021. No services will be held. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Carolyn was born September 24, 1938 , the daughter of Roscoe Danziel and Clara (Burris) Lee. She graduated from Flint Central High School's graduating class of 1956. Carolyn married Howard Gordon Veenhuis on September 1, 1956 in Flint. Carolyn loved spending time with her family and especially taking care of her grandchildren and the many she loved. Carolyn loved living on the lake in Cheboygan and spending time on Mackinac Island. She was an avid Michigan football fan.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Howard Veenhuis of Cheboygan; her three sons, Ron (Sharon) Veenhuis of Swartz Creek, Randy (Kim) Veenhuis of Flushing, and Rob (Julie) Veenhuis of Swartz Creek; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Trevarrow of Flushing; and her brother, Paul Lee of Texas. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Clara Lee; her son, Rick Veenhuis; sister, Marilyn Sutkay; and brother, James Lee.
