FIELDING, Janice L. – of Davison, MI, age 73, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Steve Turner officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
Janice was born in Salinas, CA on October 1, 1949, daughter of the late Lawrence and Mozelle (Williamson) Dowless. She married Glenn G. Fielding on February 25, 1967. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2017. Janice graduated from Baker College with a bachelor’s degree. She had a very successful career working in the health care industry until her retirement in January. Janice loved watching her grandkids playing sports and was an avid Lions, Tigers, and U of M fan. She enjoyed her flower garden, baking, and making lots of food for family dinners. Janice was a devout Christian and was always guided by her faith.
Janice is survived by sons, Glenn Alan (Suzie) Fielding and Greg (Sarah) Fielding; grandchildren, Gina Marie, Whitney, Kristen, Greggie, Patrick (Alisa), Ashley, Izabella, Anysa and Caden; great-grandchildren, Soneya, James, Penelope, Drayven, Aspen, Hadley, and Nolan; siblings, Kaye Crawford and Mark Collins; many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by step-mom, Mary Dowless; step-father, Cecil Collins; brothers, Clay Collins, Jim Crossnoe and Randy Dowless; nephew, Larry Dowless.
