We said good-bye to Henry Robert Snyder also affectionately known as “The King” on January 6, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 9th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Matthew Bonk officiating. Burial at New Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday, January 9th from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Memorial contribution can be made to the Charity of Choice.

Henry was born on October 23, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to Clarence and Angeline (Stefanski) Snyder. He was an Army Veteran. Henry, also was an Electrician with the IBEW and worked for Marv’s Electrical Company until he retired in 1996.

Henry lived a full life. He loved to visit light houses in Michigan with his lifelong companion Wally. They took many day trips together. He also was an avid Michigan fan. Henry had season tickets for over 20 years and collected a lot of memorabilia along the way. Golfing was another favorite past time of his. Henry enjoyed attending the Buick Open for many years. He also loved animals, his last dog named Franklin was a rescue and brought him much joy. He loved cats too and bought cans and cans of cat food to feed the outdoor critters as he called them.

Henry made friends easily. He was a generous soul and donated too many charities. Henry became a regular at Vic’s Pit Stop and the people there soon become his second family. The restaurant even named a sandwich after him. Henry also dearly loved his family and never missed sending a snoopy birthday card to remember their special day. He always made Christmas a special time for everyone as well.

Henry was also known for his three favorite sayings: work, work, work, wacka, wakca, wakca, and hubba, hubba, hubba. Those close to him will find it hard not to hear them any longer.

Henry will be dearly missed by, Jackie (Joe) McDermaid, Kim (Roy) Webber, Tom (Carole) Snyder; nephews, Tim, Brody, and Ryan; nieces, Tracy, Becky, Pam and the gang at Vic’s Pit Stop; lifelong Friends, Dave Rambowski, Steve Livingston; Special Thanks to, Denise and April and all the caregivers at Woodhaven Assisted Living Center.

He was also proceeded in death by his parents, Clarence and Angeline (Stefanski) Snyder; brother and sister in law, Clarence (Patricia) Snyder and loving companion Wally Schlanzky.
