They have 5 surviving children: Dianne (Doug) Smith, Karen (Pete Dunlap) Lehoux, Dr. Dan (Cindy) Lehoux, Paula (Joe) Kasper and Rebecca (Harry) Forehand; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Monique Melanson and Janet Manzardo; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Earl Crist; brother, Andy; and brother-in-law, Ed Melanson.

Paul was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Parish since 1957. He served his
country in the Army National Guard for 9 years. Paul retired after 41 years from General Motors. He was an honorable lifetime member of the Davison Knights of Columbus Bishop Albers Council 4090 and the Ardon F. Dubie Fourth Degree Assembly 0523 where he served as a member of the 4th Degree Color Guard. He was often seen there playing cards and calling bingo. Paul enjoyed Michigan in the summer and winters in Thonotosassa, Florida where he met his special friend, Fay Kopp, and many others who loved him dearly. He loved golfing, shuffleboard, swimming, playing cards and dancing. Paul never said no to any adventure, from snorkeling to zip lining. His smile and laugh was contagious. And he always said, “We’re just going to have a good time.” Most importantly, Paul was devoted to his family, friends and the Lord with his whole heart. A teacher about the Merciful Heart of Jesus and the Devine Mercy Chaplet. “JESUS I TRUST IN YOU!”

Many memories have been made and will never be forgotten. He will be missed by all. As our hearts are saddened, we are joyful knowing he is nestled in Our Lord’s arms.
