JENKINS, Wanita – Of Flint, age 89, died Thursday, February 12, 2015
in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, February 20, 2015
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. Max Hayden officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Wanita was born in Boyne City, MI on March 8, 1925, moving to Flint to raise her family, retiring in Port Charlotte, FL. She loved knitting, crocheting, camping, gambling and traveling and was known as the “Scrubbie Lady”. She loved her dog, Trixie.
Surviving are son, David and wife Jennie Jenkins;
daughter, Debra and husband Tim Dargel;
and their father, Burnell Jenkins;
grandchildren, Melissa, Kandy, Kristy, Joseph, Andrew and Kevin;
great-grandchildren, Jessica, Breanna, Noah, Jake and Austin;
great-great-grandchildren, Layna, Carter, Grant, Colton, Preston and Trenton;
sisters, Shirlene, Jean and Janet;
sisters-in-law, Joan Davis and Joan Allison.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lavern, daughter, Cheryl, that passed away on the same day 19 years ago, son, Jerry, granddaughter, Karen, grandson, Brad, several brothers and sisters.
