ELEWYN C. PLETCHER, age 82 of Millington, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Millington United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Millington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 11AM-8PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Millington United Methodist Church. Elewyn was born on March 11, 1931 in Ortonville, MI to Bernis and Golda (Criswell) Pletcher. He worked for Consumers Energy and Utility Workers of America Local 119, where he was State Council President and Region 4 Director. Elewyn was an avid golfer and was a member of Willow Springs Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed trail riding with his horses. Surviving are his children: Doyle Pletcher, Judith (Marty) Snover, Stuart Pletcher, Elewyn (Bridgett) Pletcher, and Todd (Lucinda) Woods; grandchildren: Matt (Jen) Pletcher, Brandi Pletcher, Kyle (Kristin) Pletcher, Amy Stevens, Shelby Pletcher, Chelsea Pletcher, Morgan Pletcher, Cara Sue Pletcher, Chad (Randi) Woods, and Amber (Steve) Walker; 8 great grandchildren; special caregiver, Dawn Pavelka; brothers: Glenn (Shirley) Pletcher, Clyde (Judy) Pletcher, and Bob (Donna) Ames; and sister-in-law, Marlene Pletcher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; and brothers: Norris, Doyle, and Lowell.
