STRONG, Jonathan E. "Jonny Rocket" – of Clio, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Private family services will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Jon’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 1PM until 8PM at the Clio Firemen's Park, 1170 W. Wilson Rd., in Clio for family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Jon was born April 20, 1966 in Flint, Michigan to Richard and Norva (Landes) Strong. He graduated from Clio High School in 1984. Jon married the love of his life Wendy Wells on September 23, 2006 in Davison. He built a strong foundation with his business -Strong’s Professional Painting, which he was extremely passionate about and owned and operated for over 30 years. Jon was an avid hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, camping and spending time with family and friends. He was a pillar in the community, made an impact on many lives, and was always available to offer a helping hand. Jon kept many close friends throughout the years and was loved by many. Above all, Jon loved his family and was a wonderful father and loving devoted husband. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Wendy Strong; Daughter, Katlyn; Sons: Zachary, and Chase; Mother, Norva Blumenfeld; Brothers: Richard (Anne) Strong, Eric (Julia) Strong and Luke Strong; Sister, Erika Strong; Sister in law, Cindy Reed; Special friends: Steve Skinner, Doug (Rhonda) Moore, Dave (Angi) DeLong; Aunts: Linda (Glenn) Walther, and Marcia Strong; Uncle: Jerry (Jenny) Landes; Furry companions: Diesel, Budd, Emma, and Max; Many cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. John was preceded in death by: Father, Richard Strong; Brother, David Strong; Sister, Christine Strong, Grandmother, Betty Landes; Stepfather, Mike Blumenfeld.
