WERDEN, Joseph Jr. “Joe” – of Mt. Morris, age 62, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Monday, April 27, 2026, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Celebrant John Montney officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM.
Joseph was born on May 19, 1963, in Petoskey, Michigan, to the late Joseph Sr. and Jeanette (Crawford) Werden. He graduated from Harbor Springs High School in 1981. On October 21, 2018, Joe married Christina Webster at Stepping Stone Falls in Flint. Joe worked as a security guard with Premier Security Solutions for four years and owned and operated A-Plus Mobile Home Services for 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who also enjoyed riding motorcycles and fast hot rods. Above all, Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He will be remembered as a kind and hardworking man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Joe was knowledgeable, dependable, and truly there for anyone in need. He treated everyone with kindness and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Surviving are: Wife, Christina Werden; Children: Jamie (Chris) McCreedy, Stefoni (Ryan) Dipzinski, Alyssa Huggard, and Hailey Purdue; Grandchildren: Skout, Micah, Willow, Jagger, Londyn, Kyleigh, and Cameron; Siblings: Joyelle “Dunk” (Russ) Barnes, Jonny (Jenifer) Werden, Ralph Gleason, Angie Wicker, and Rebecca Werden; Loving companion – his dog, Rosie; Many loving in-laws that were like siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and dear friends. Joe was also preceded in death by: Brother, Jeff Werden; Sister, Missy Keller; Mother-in-law, Dorothy “Ma” Tarrant.
