Nitsos, Joseph Andrew, of Flint, age 63, died Monday, February 3, 2025, at Henry Ford Detroit. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 E. Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc. Rev. Fr. Peter Bistolarides will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home, Flushing, with a Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m.
Joseph was born in Flint, Michigan on December 6, 1961, the son of Andrew John and Emma Jean (Finazzi) Nitsos. Joseph graduated from Flushing High School, Class of 1979. He spent his working years as a Tool and Die Maker and a truck driver. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and certain agricultural pursuits.
He is survived by his two sons and their mother; his mother, Emma Nitsos; siblings, Mary Nitsos, Anthony (Shiyu) Nitsos, Dean (Jennifer) Nitsos; five nephews, and a cousin, George Nitsos. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Andrew; brother, John; and niece, Tina. |
