Morehouse, Thomas E. Of Flushing age 79, died Monday, December 14, 2020, at McLaren-Flint. Private funeral services will take place at Rossell Funeral Home and private burial at Flushing Cemetery. A public memorial service will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Elf Khurafeh Shiners or Flushing American Legion, Post #64.
Thomas was born in Flint, Michigan on November 7, 1941, the son of Elden and Janet (Hill/Gensel) Morehouse. He graduated from Flint Northern in 1959. Thomas married Vickie Sue Brady on March 21, 1964. She preceded him in death on October 21, 1997. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam era. Thomas worked at GM Powertrain where he retired as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was active in the Masonic Blue Lodge of Flushing, Post #223, Elf Khurafeh Shriners, Life Member of Royal Order of Jester Court #74, and Past Commander of Flushing American Legion Post #64. Thomas loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cruising the northern trails, going to casinos, playing penny ante poker, socializing on Facebook and spending as much time at his cabin in Glennie. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, friends, especially his grandchildren and his four legged best friend Missy.
Thomas is survived by his children, Brian and wife Debbie Morehouse, Stacy and husband Robert Breinbach; grandchildren, Nikohl (Rian) Spencer, Mitchell Gerow, Joseph (Caitlin) Gerow, Logan Ethington; great-grandchildren, Scott, Jack, and River; and many extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott; brother, Joe; and significant other, Rosie Maher.
