Marcine Mathis, 66, of Gladwin, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland. She was born on September 24, 1954, the daughter of Hildred & Rosie (Bryant) Casey in Vallejo, California. On July 12, 1997, she was united in marriage to Herbert Mathis Sr. in Otter Lake. They were blessed with 23 wonderful years of marriage until he preceded her in death in October 2020. They have been reunited once again. Marcine loved flowers and keeping up on her immaculate gardens. There wasn’t anything she admired more than being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Don (Kim), Herb Jr. (Sissy), Rich (Kary), Jamie (Sean), Dane (Amber), Heather (Ron), Troy (Lynn), Christina and daughter in-law: LeeAnn. Her children blessed her with 29 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Hilda (Fritz) and Jackie (Rob); father in-law: Donald Nash; in-laws: Bruce, Dort (Larry), Sharon, and Sue; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband: Paul Byrd in 1994; parents; son: Troy.
Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place, and a memorial service may be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
