PIDGEON, John Webster – Of Flint Twp., age 78, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
John is a life-long son of Flint, born 19 September 1943. John is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving three years in Germany as a Cryptographer. After his military service John spent the next 35 years in the employment of General Motors as a Crib Attendant and Coordinator. John’s family and friends know of his love for song. This love lead John to become a member of the Davison Senior Center Karaoke Group where he spent many an hour entertaining others. John’s enthusiasm as he belted out those songs never failed to put a smile on the faces of those in attendance. We may not be able to hear John now but there is no doubt he is now singing to the heavens.
John leaves behind his wife Judy of 56 years.; two sons: John L. Pidgeon (deceased), Joseph (Elizabeth) Pidgeon of Texas; two daughters: Jodi (Scott) Loose of Tennessee, Jennifer (Gary) Bosh of Michigan; 10 grandchildren: Courtney (Richard) Loose, Kayla (Jonny) Hunt, Brieanne Ruggles, Scott John-Patrick Loose, Megan Bosh, Anthony Bosh, Collin Loose, John Lawrence Webster Pidgeon, Elianna Pidgeon, Jacob Pidgeon; Three great grandchildren: Grayson, Harper and Aya. John is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents Webster and Catherine Pidgeon, his sister Lucille McGovern and brother Andrew Pidgeon.
