BRANNON, Gayle L. – of Mt. Morris, age 74, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Kim Christensen officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2PM until 8PM, and on Wednesday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Auto City Eagles.
Gayle was born December 8, 1946, in Boyne City, Michigan to the late Clinton and Gordonetta “Ruby” (Stocker) Brannon. He was an active Merchant Marine on great lakes ships for 28 years. Gayle enjoyed watching sports, old westerns & NASCAR, visiting friends, and trips to the casino. He loved riding his motorcycle and playing with his dog, Sassy.
Surviving are: Wife, Charlotte Brannon; Daughters: Susan Castell, and Patricia Brannon; Stepsons: David Williams, Tony Williams, and Bill Williams; Grandchildren: Austin (Shelby) Williams, Tony Williams II, and Crystal; Several great grandchildren; Sister, Debra Erber; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
