DEGUISE, Mary Francis – Of Flint, age 78, passed away sometime over “Father’s Day Weekend”. She was pronounced dead on June 24, 2021 at 3:30pm. Per her request, there will be no funeral or visitation and cremation has taken place.
Mary Fran was fiercely independent. She was single the entirety of her life. She went into the convent when she was younger. She was a “healer”. She studied and was trained by Lapeer Health Enrichment Center. She opened her own business called “Begin-A-Nu”. She spent 30 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist with Mildred Lockwood. All of her pets were rescues. She spent her life developing her calling to service and healing to others. Fran had a wonderful playful disposition and a heart of compassion to help anyone. Many have experienced her loving concern. She will be terribly missed by so many.
Mary Fran was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Edward DeGuise, mother, Elsie Marie Dean, and siblings, Lois Hunt, Patrick DeGuise, Grace Stanton, and Leo DeGuise. Surviving are sisters, Marilla Rutherford, Ellen Bouchard and Anne Chard of Canada and Florida.
She also has oodles and oodles of cousins, nieces and nephews, too many to mention.
Memorial contributions can be made in her honor of 30 years of massage therapy service at Health Enrichment Center, Inc. 204 E. Nepessing St., Lapeer, Michigan 48446. 810-667-9453.
