BURBANK, Roy LaVern and Donna Jean (Burton) – of Davison, MI, ages 88, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 and Sunday, January 2, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 East Mt. Morris Road, Otisville, MI 48463; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, immediately following in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
Roy was born in Bancroft, MI on April 4, 1933, son of the late Edgar and Nina (Kingsbury) Burbank. He married Donna J. Burton on November 8, 1952 in Otisville, MI. Roy proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors Buick in 1990 after 30 years of service. Roy was a member of the Davison VFW Post #4087 and in 1952, he became a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Donna was born in Davison, MI on September 12, 1933, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Jewel) Burton. She married Roy Burbank on November 8, 1952 in Otisville, MI and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2021. Donna retired from General Motors AC Spark Plug in 1990. She was a member of the Davison VFW Post #4087 Women’s Auxiliary and in 1947, became a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Donna enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Roy and Donna are survived by their 2 children, Sandi (Charlie) Jinks and Scott (Kim) Burbank; son-in-law, Russ Jinks; 5 grandchildren, Ronald (Kim) Jinks, Derek (Erin) Jinks, Desiree (Dan) Sidebottom, Deanna (Travis) Fletcher and Darren (Grace) Burbank; 7 great-grandchildren; Roy’s 2 siblings, Edwin Burbank and Lois (Rex) McLincha; many other loving family members and friends. They were preceded in death by their parents, Edgar and Nina Burbank and George and Bertha Burton; daughter, Sheryl Jinks; grandson, Roy Robert Jinks; great grandchildren, Jamieson Jinks and Rylee Jinks; Roy’s 5 siblings, Lila McDonald, Doris Wallace, Ruth Alexander, Dale Burbank and Earl Burbank; Donna’s 3 siblings, Lawrence Burton, Rev. Orville Burton and Shirley Millis.
