Thomas "Tom" M. Lepley

Age 80, of Owosso, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 22, 2025

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Michael O'Brien. Tom will be laid to rest at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Monday from 2 PM to 8 PM, with a rosary service at 7 PM.

Born on June 19, 1945, in Owosso, Michigan, Tom was the son of Rex and Blanche (Matthews) Lepley.

He was a proud graduate of Owosso High School, Class of 1963, and shortly thereafter proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Tom possessed a unique charm that endeared him to all. Known for his infectious smirk and great sense of humor, he had a remarkable ability to make those around him laugh. He could often be found in the garage, lending a hand to his son, Rob, while restoring cars or cruising the streets with his beloved wife, MaryAnn, in their cherished 1936 Dodge truck. In later years, Tom and MaryAnn enjoyed escaping to northern Michigan, where they found peace together.

A dedicated family man, Tom treasured the moments spent with his loved ones and was actively involved in his community, previously being a member of the Eagles and the MSB Dune Buggy Club. His lighthearted spirit will be missed by many, and as he would often say, "See you Monday, have a nice weekend!"

He married his loving sweetheart Mary Ann Zachar at St. Paul Catholic Church in Owosso on September 25, 1965. Together, they shared over 59 wonderful years.

Thomas retired after several years at General Motors.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Lepley; his children, Robert (Cory) Lepley and Debbie (Jeff) Guysky; grandchildren, Kelly (Kara) Lepley, Tyler (Cloe) Lepley, Nathan Lepley, Trevor Guysky, and Connor Guysky; and great-grandchildren, Quinton Mowl, Wyatt Lepley, Everett Lepley, Zane Lepley, and Stella Lepley. He is also survived by numerous loving family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Robert, Harold, Don Lewis, Alan, Jeanne Newell, and Barbara Chesler.

In honor of Tom's memory, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic School or Church.
