STARNES, LARRY LEE – Of Davison, age 78, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at U of M Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 12noon Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Bishop Jerry Stoner officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service with burial of cremains at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 1pm with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Old News Boys.
Larry was born in Flint, Michigan on September 1, 1947, the son of the late Rudolph and Erma (French) Starnes.
He worked 38.1 years for GM as a UAW Local 659 benefits servicing rep.
Larry loved playing golf and cards. He was a member of the Elks Club #222 and Old News Boys of Flint volunteer.
Surviving are his wife Sylvia; children, Chad wife Amber; stepchildren, Crystal husband Steve White, Misty Broughton; grandchildren, Pippa, Stephen, Carryn, Zachary and wife Cassie and Luke; great-grandchildren, Braylon; sister Darlene Bertram and many nieces, nephews and friends.
