STEWART, Dortha M. – Of Grand Blanc, age 74, died January 3, 2015 at Masonic Pathways Nursing Home in Alma, Michigan.
Funeral service will be held at 12pm Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Dave Strobe officiating.
Interment 10:30am Wednesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association and Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Monday and 11am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dortha was born in Flint, Michigan on July 10, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Ruby Mrasek. She married Douglas W. Stewart on May 23, 1959. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She loved to read, crochet, ceramics and the film “The Sound of Music”.
Surviving are husband, Douglas;
four children, Matthew and wife Jerri, Lora and husband Brian Ayres, Robert and Heather, Michael and wife Jessica;
seven grandchildren;
two great-grandsons.
two brothers, Frank and Fred (Soonie) Mrasek.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Linda Mrasek.
